The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

The Upside of Unrequited

Rating of book: 5 out of 5 stars

What this book is about:

Seventeen-year-old Molly Peskin-Suso knows all about unrequited love—she’s lived through it twenty-six times. She crushes hard and crushes often, but always in secret. Because no matter how many times her twin sister, Cassie, tells her to woman up, Molly can’t stomach the idea of rejection. So she’s careful. Fat girls always have to be careful.

Then a cute new girl enters Cassie’s orbit, and for the first time ever, Molly’s cynical twin is a lovesick mess. Meanwhile, Molly’s totally not dying of loneliness—except for the part where she is. Luckily, Cassie’s new girlfriend comes with a cute hipster-boy sidekick. Will is funny and flirtatious and just might be perfect crush material. Maybe more than crush material. And if Molly can win him over, she’ll get her first kiss and she’ll get her twin back.

There’s only one problem: Molly’s coworker Reid. He’s an awkward Tolkien superfan with a season pass to the Ren Faire, and there’s absolutely no way Molly could fall for him. Right?

My Thoughts on the book: There might be some spoilers, it was hard not to write a review and spoiler something: sorry about that.

Hey guys, i loved this book so much, i can relate to the main character Molly. She is overweight and i my-self is overweight. She has a twin sister gets a girlfriend and molly has 2 mom’s who get to be married. Molly has never had a boyfriend. She has had cruses but never acted on them until now. She meets Reid at her work and she gets to know him. Reid is a funny character and i like him a lot. The family in this book is really great all but the grandmother who i dislike in this book, she talks about her granddaughter being overweight right in front of her and i wanted to hit the grandmother so bad. You get to see a lot of the family in this book and you get to see how the 2 mom’s rise 3 children. If you haven’t read this book yet i would, it is almost better then Simon. Molly is one of Simon’s friends in Simon. So it was great to see more of Molly. Now i can’t wait for this author’s next book which comes out soon i think

Let me know down below if you have read and liked this book? I would love to know thanks..
